Are there government business grants that I can get that are free to apply for and where do I find them?

Written by admin on April 19th, 2009

I have a small business and I know there are programs for government grants for businesses. There are websites that will help you apply for them, but want to charge you for it when you don't even know if it's the real thing. Is there somewhere I can go where I can apply for these grants for free?

For a government grant, go to http://grants.gov/ and follow the instructions. But, you're wasting your time unless your business concerns energy or research.

Call and ask your congressman. Your senators numbers are in the blue pages.

You need to do the following:

First, find grant kits and offers that you qualify for, do not apply for grants you are not qualified for, you won't be accepted.

Second, make sure you find grant and loan offers that are related to the type of grant you are looking for.

Lastly, apply for the grant kit, research the best grants that cater towards you, and apply. Note: some grant offers only allow applications at certain times of the year, make sure it's still accepting applicants.

Hope this helps you out. Alex
